Rockfest Will Rock Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville the Weekend of June 14th

Tellus Science Museum in Cartersville is calling all rock hounds, jewelry collectors, families and everyone fascinated by geology and/or rocks!

RockFest returns to Tellus for two entire delightful days that will (probably) make everybody in the family have fun.

No, it’s not just “sitting around looking at rocks,” princess.  There are lots of cool things to do:

• Hourly door prizes
• Free mineral specimens for the first 200 guests each day
• Bring your mystery mineral specimen for free mineral or fossil identification
• Kid’s activities like rock bingo, customize your own collecting bag, and make a pet rock
• Register to win the Grand Prize: a celestine geode from Madagascar!
• FREE frozen treats for members

Tellus has invited dealers of rare and exotic jewelry from all over the country to display and sell some of their treasures.  A few ancient fossils and beautifully colorful specimens can be seen, but maybe not touched.
