

The Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville is the only of its kind in the southeast. Its main galleries feature western artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. The museum is the second largest in Georgia and is named for Sam Booth. Opened in August of 2003, Booth Western Art Museum was named an affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution in August of 2006.
The museum also includes two theaters, a cafe, a museum store and a library.
The permanent galleries include: American West Gallery; Cowboy Gallery; Mythic West; the Reel West; Sagebrush Ranch; James and Carolyn Millar Presidential Gallery; and, War is Hell. While you are there, be sure to spend time at the Special Exhibition, Borderlands, and Theaterlands Galleries.
In an effort to reach out to individuals and families in our community, they offer free admission on the 1st Thursday of each month from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
