Smile first time to Lake Allatoona

Hello-
We are putting our boat in right at the Lodge area and will be keeping it for the weekend at the Park Marina. Could someone tell us some areas that maybe would be best for skiing, knee boarding, etc? We have never been on this lake and do not know it.
Any pointers, tips, etc..would be greatly appreciated.
How crowded of a lake is it?
Thanks,
Amy

Hi Amy - Welcome to Allatoona

If you're going this weekend, it will be very busy, although less crowded than Lake Lanier, if you've been there before.

The lake doesn't vary in width much so there aren't really any big wide areas to ski in, however you'll be fine where you plan to launch, around the lodge and Red Top Mountain Park.
