Ok, I'm being a little lazy here, but I was hoping someone could just let me in on a little info without having to research it myself.
My dad has been going on and on about going to the Masters some day, and since I'm staying in Cartersville next month, and I like what I'm familiar with, and I'll have been familiar with the Allatoona area by next year, I was thinking of going again and taking my dad to the Masters, and making a hike over to Augusta from Allatoona. How far is it from Allatoona? Where from, and how much for can I get Masters tickets? I've been to 1 major before (Whistling Straights last year), so I know it's going to cost me an arm and a leg, but I got those tickets through someone who was working at the event (still had to pay though). So how do I go about getting tickets to the Masters? Anything else I should know about going? |

As much as I'd like to tell you to stay in Cartersville and go to Augusta for the Masters, it's about a 2-hour drive, so I can't. The BellSouth classic is in Duluth at SugarLoaf, which is 20-25 miles, and The Tour Championship is at East Lake in Atlanta which is right down the road, but those aren't majors, not really what you're asking.
I bought my Masters 4-day pass on ebay this year for a cool grand. I think you can just get them by calling the ticket office, or on pga.com if you get there before they sell out. |

Wow, there's a lot of golf in the area! Where I'm at we get a major every 5-10 years, but only have one PGA event annually (Wisconsin). I guess I never realized there were two PGA events not including the Masters in GA.
I can't wait to check out some of the courses down there. |
