i've lived on the lake for three years and have never heard of any accidents from the water being so low. stay away from the banks and the area across the lake from marker 184/85, at the corner. the water there is extremely low! otherwise have a good time!!!

are you kidding! those giant speed boats can't see alot of things...like a jet ski. my neighbor got hit by one on the 4th of july - while riding a jet ski, got just before sunset.
a Hint- thay usually only come out on the lake after 5 PM. |

Hello. I am a lake homewoner on Lake Hartwell and we experience the same issues with constantly changing lake levels. I decided to combat the "always having to check lake levels" problem by putting together a website called LakeLevelAlert.com at http://lakelevelalert.com .
The site monitors lake levels on 44 lakes in the U.S including Allatoona and sends you emails when the water for your lake rises above or falls below levels that you specify. You can set lake level alerts that will tell you when skiing is safe and when it is not. You can set alerts to tell you when to move your dock in or out. There are a million different uses. It is FREE for anyone to use so please go check it out at http://lakelevelalert.com and sign up. Please tell your friends on Allatoona and other lakes as well.[/url] |
