Etowah Trail

Etowah Trail is 12-miles long (including several side loops) and has a difficulty rating of Moderate.

This hiking trail is managed and maintained by the City of Canton and BSA Troop 241 in Canton.  Sorry, mountain bikes and off-road vehicles are not permitted.

Plants, wildlife, zippy hikers and tired people are in abundance along this trail.  It’s the perfect place to walk with old friends and meet new ones along the way.

This is a Moderate rated path.  That typically means the trail is in good condition, longer than an Easy hike and has “moderate elevation gain.”  If you’re in good shape, you should be fine.

If you are looking for an Easy hike, you should probably choose to walk somewhere else.  At least until you build up a few more hiking muscles.  The more you hike, the more you can hike.

The City of Canton Parks and Recreation Department is committed to providing year-round sports, activities and special events for children, adults and seniors.  We strive to provide safe and enjoyable recreational and leisure opportunities that promote the community and resident wellness.

All parks in Canton are open from dawn until dusk, except for Hickory Log Creek Reservoir, which is open 7 am – 7 pm & 7 am – 8 pm between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
