Parks and Day Use areas on Lake Allatoona are abundant, clean, safe and delightful. In fact, we can guarantee that whenever you visit you will find warm weather, blue skies, a convenient parking place, hungry fish and bugs that will leave you alone (some restrictions apply).
Relax lakeside at one of the hundreds of picnic tables all around the 270 miles of shoreline. Frolic on a clean, sandy beach, enjoy a barbecue with your family, fish from the shore, launch your boat, or wisely invest whatever time you have looking at the birds and imagining critters in the clouds.

Lake Allatoona’s parks and day use areas are maintained by several cities, counties, the state of Georgia and the federal government.
What that means is there is no single set of rules, operating hours or seasons, and no single pass that can get you into them all.
Yes, that’s cumbersome, but it’s because we have so many parks in so many places to choose from. What a wonderful problem to have!
Lake Allatoona Day Use Area Parks
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers maintains more than a dozen Day Use areas on Lake Allatoona and the Etowah River. With the exception of Upper Stamp Creek and Knox Bridge, they are handicap accessible. Most have picnic areas that are ideal for barbecues and parties.
Please Note: Boat ramps at Blockhouse, Clark Creek, Cooper Branch, Galt’s Ferry, Payne, Stamp Creek, Tanyard and Victoria are open year-round 24/7, depending on water levels.

Lake Allatoona Day Use Area Fees
- A fee of $5 per vehicle is charged at parks with beaches.
- A $5 boat launching fee is charged at parks with boat ramps.
- A Corps of Engineers Annual Day-Use Pass may be purchased for $40. The pass is honored at Corps of Engineers day-use areas and boat ramps.
