Lakeside Trail is an Easy 3/4 mile hike that begins at the parking area for the former lodge at Red Top Mountain State Park. It loops behind the lodge along the shores of Lake Allatoona. Lakeside Trail is ADA-accessible for its entire length.

The trail’s main feature is the historic 1869 Vaughn Cabin, located right on the trail.  There are special programs held at the cabin occasionally.

Numerous benches line the trail and shoreline for hikers to stop and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.  The benches are perfect for resting, flirting and cuddling.
