Laurel Ridge Trail is accessible from the Lake Allatoona Visitor Center.  It is a one-mile trail of Moderate difficulty. The trail goes up, over, around and through forests and ridges filled with mixed pine and hardwood perched above the Etowah River.

If you provide adequate advance notice, squirrels will perform ancient dances for you and your group.  [Sorry, the squirrels haven't told us how to give them such notice.]

Don’t be squirrely when you hike: bring water, sunscreen on bright days, and a snack, in case you get hungry or have to bribe a bear.
