This striper and hybrid fishing guides report has been brought to you exclusively by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service, 770 827-6282. Lake Allatoona Fishing Guides – Allatoona First Bite Guide Service – Lake Allatoona Fishing Guide Lake Allatoona, Georgia email: [email protected]
Line side fishing is hit or miss right now. The bait is still out over the river channel and so are the fish. Down lines are working best right now and the fish are deep. The best bite is between 24-40 feet deep. Thread-fin shad and shiners are both working well. Mid lake seems to be holding most of the bait and fish right now. But in the next couple of weeks we should start seeing more bait on the south end of the lake and with the bait comes the fish. Forget heading north, With all the rain we have had lately it is nothing more then a mud hole north of Kelloggs Creek. We hope we are just a few days away from some good striper fishing on Allatoona. Trolling is by far the best bite on the lake right now. The Mack Farr 4 arm u-rig loaded with 9 1/2 oz buchtails trolled right in the middle of the river channel at a speed of 2.9 miles ang hour will get you bit…. Just remember you only allowed 2 stripers over 22 inches per person in the boat, stripes, hybrids and white bass. It seems like most people think that just applies to stripers But they are wrong it applies to all line sides. The State will be doing boat checks all winter. Stay with in your limit.
Carters Lake Special Report For Dec 19
Line side fishing is HOT on Carters Lake. The past two weeks has been great on Carters Lake. My clients have boated several stripers over twenty pounds with two of them weighing in at 27 lbs. Flat lines and planner boards are working very well at sun up. These fish will eat a trout but I have been catching more fish on Gizzard ans Thread-fin shad. But Trolling is by far the best bite on the lake right now. The Mack Farr 4 arm u-rig loaded with 9 1/2 oz jigs are working the best.
