DNR Public Meeting On Spotted Bass in Allatoona

The Fisheries Section of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division will hold a public meeting Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in the Etowah Room of the Cartersville Civic Center to discuss spotted bass management on Lake Allatoona.

WRD biologists will talk about the spotted bass fishery on Lake Allatoona and look for feedback from anglers on the lake.

Spotted bass are the dominant black bass species in Lake Allatoona. Although abundant, their average size tends to be small compared to Georgia’s other spotted bass fisheries. The requested input from local anglers regarding Allatoona’s spotted bass fishery will aid in the ongoing effort to improve angling opportunities on state waters.

The Cartersville Civic Center is located at 435 W. Main St., Cartersville, Ga. 30120.
