There is Change in Bartow Waste Collection Center Hours
Bartow County Waste Management announces that “due to economic conditions Bartow County will implement the following hours at its collection/recycling centers”:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday Saturday 7am – 7pm
Wednesday, Sunday CLOSED

Also effective February 1, 2009 the Landfill will close at 12:00 noon on Saturdays

If your load is piled over a truck bed, you will probably be asked to go directly to the landfill. Your first residential tipping scale fee will be waved.

Location: the Bartow County waste management collection center nearest the Allatoona Community is at: 40 Allatoona Dam Road – between Georgia Highway 41 and State Route 293 in Emerson; at the foot of the main landfill tipping scale entrance, and across from the recycling center.

Collection Center Use: the collection center is for residential waste which is generated on a daily/weekly basis in homes. Large residential waste loads will be routed directly to the landfill. Tipping fees for residential customers will be waived for the first ton/load.

Clean Premises.
Any person owning or occupying any private property, including of a commercial, industrial or residential nature, shall be required to keep such property free of litter and waste, and to insure all litter and waste is placed in proper litter or waste containers or
receptacles. Persons owning businesses shall be required to keep the sidewalks, service alleys and parking areas of their businesses free from litter and waste.
