Quail hunting season begins in Georgia on Saturday, November 16, 2013 and extends through the end of February of 2014.
To help you prepare, you’re invited to join in on a live Internet chat with Private Lands Program Manager Reggie Thackston on Thursday, November 14th at 3 PM EST.
In addition to an in-depth look into this year’s above average forecast for the area near Lake Allatoona, Reggie will provide tips for success, tips for land management and reasons for the long-term bobwhite decline, including the impacts of predators like fire ants and coyotes.
That link will not be available until Thursday afternoon.
Your e-mailed questions will be answered live during the broadcast. Have a question? E-mail it to WRDinfo@dnr.state.ga.us and tune into the broadcast to hear your questions answered live.
The chat will last approximately 30 minutes. They will address as many questions as they can during the broadcast. If they are unable to get to your question in the allotted time, they will do their best to respond to you individually via e-mail.
