Line sides Decent!!
The rain we had last week trashed out the north end of the lake. That pushed the bait and fish south a little earlier this year than last year. The live bait bite has been our better bite early.
Small Trout as well as small Gizzard shad fished on freelines and planer boards from Stamp Creek to the Blockhouse have been the ticket. Once the sun gets up, we have been changing over to umbrella rigs and have been catching some decent fish out over the river channel. Downlining small gizzard shad and small trout is also working well midday out over the river and creek channels. Color really doesn’t matter. Out best bite has been coming at 100 feet behind the boat at speeds of 2.6 to 3.1 MPH.
Call me and we’ll catch you some bass!
