More than ever, your help with The Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup is needed on Saturday, September 30, 2017.
Remnants of Hurricane Irma messed up Lake Allatoona and left debris that must be removed. That’s in addition to the trash left behind by folks who lack manners and character — expecting others to pick after them, instead of doing it themselves.
With the help of the Cartersville-Bartow Chamber of Commerce, AMEC, Wildlife Action, the City of Kennesaw, WellStar Health Care System, US Army Corp of Engineers, Georgia Power and you, we’ll get the lake spiffed up just in time for fall’s spectacular colors.
GLAC Mission Statement
The Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup “GLAC,” and its partners will lead the Lake Allatoona community in environmental stewardship of the watershed through education, preservation, conservation, and volunteerism.
Folks with boats who can help the Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup remove items from the shoreline are in special demand this year. Here’s a chance for you and your ship of dreams to be heroes!
