Time to Go Camping at Lake Allatoona!

Sure has been a rough spring, hasn’t it?  Any day now, the sun will come out.  We’ll complain about the heat, and it will be time to go camping at Lake Allatoona to cool down.

Our friends with the US Army Corps of Engineers have hundreds of locations for your getaway:

Allatoona Lake features eight campgrounds with 576 campsites for public use.  Each campground offers a wide range of campsites including double campsites, group campsites, primitive campsites, and premium campsites with electrical and water hookups.

Many of our campgrounds also offer amenities such as group picnic shelters, swimming beaches, playgrounds, boat ramps, showers and restrooms, coin laundry, and basketball courts.  While most sites are available by reservation, some sites are only available on a walk-in basis.

That’s in addition to about 20 other facilities at Red Top Mountain State park, commercial marinas, and county and city parks along Allatoona’s 270-mile shoreline.

We have updated all our information about camping at Lake Allatoona.  You’ll find links to each park to find out what makes it so special.  We’ve tried to make it easy for you to make reservations too.  Simply click on the links and you can make reservations from home in your jammies!
