Lest we forget …The Bartow History Museum at 4 East Church Street in historic downtown Cartersville, Georgia, preserves irreplaceable documents and rare artifacts that help us learn about our past.
History offers more than faded memories and old trinkets. Items from more than 200 years of our forefather’s lives are studied and displayed — from when the Cherokee Indians resided in Bartow County through our modern era.
When you visit Bartow History Museum to see historical artifacts, photographs and a variety of interactive permanent exhibits, you’ll better understand the story of how our area was settled. You will discover new insights into Cherokee life, Civil War strife and lifestyles of those who lived here long ago.
The museum provides a variety of educational opportunities for adults, children, families and school groups. There is an extensive archives and research library containing photographs, documents, newspapers, rare books, genealogy records, oral history interviews, and much more.
The Bartow History Museum has many exciting programs and special events for adults and children. The summer camp offerings for children are a unique and fun way to entertain the kids while learning! Check the link below to see the calendar of upcoming events and learn the details.
