Laurel Ridge Trail

Laurel Ridge Trail is a .75 mile Easy trail that is accessible from the Lake Allatoona Visitor Center.

The trail goes up, over, around and through ridges above the Etowah River and among forests filled with mixed pine and hardwood.

Dancing squirrel

If you provide adequate advance notice, squirrels might perform ancient dances for you and your group.

[Sorry, the squirrels haven’t told us how to give them such notice.]

Don’t be squirrely when you hike: bring water and sunscreen on bright days.  Carry a snack or two, in case you get hungry or have to bribe a bear.

Don’t let your TV and sofa drain your life away.  Head for the woods!

Thank you.
