Adjacent to Canton High School in Cherokee County, Georgia, is a very popular recreation area known as Boling Park. If you can survive an hour or two without wi-fi, you’ll love it.

Run along the Etowah River, on the park’s west side. Stroll with a pal or sit at a picnic table and simply watch the water flow … and send your troubles away downstream.
There’s almost always a soccer game to watch. If that’s too strenuous, talk one of your kids into pushing you on a swing for a change, or zip down a slide the way you used to. It’s probably best, however, to let little ones play in the sandbox by themselves.
Alcoholic beverages and pets are not allowed. Don’t worry. You can have a beer and tell Max all about your visit when you get home.
The park is maintained by the City of Canton and is open daily from 6 AM until 11 PM.
