Cooper Branch Day Use Parks #1 and #2

Cooper Branch Day Use Parks #1 and #2 are on the north side of Lake Allatoona dam at the end of GA Spur 20, near the Visitor Center.

Cooper Branch #1 is open all year.  Cooper Branch #2 is open seasonally.  Click here for dates when Cooper Branch #2 is open.

  • 2 Boat launching lanes
  • Courtesy Dock
  • Flush toilet restroom facilities
  • Group Picnic Shelter (Non-reservable)
  • Picnic Tables

Cooper Branch #2 Amenities

  • Open picnic shelter seats 50 people
  • Electrical outlets in the shelter
  • Large covered grill area
  • Horseshoe pit (You must provide your own horseshoes or horses that don’t mind going barefoot until you finish playing.)
  • Restroom
  • Cooper Branch Hiking Trail
  • Cooper’s Furnace Hiking Trail

According to the US Army Corps of Engineer office at Lake Allatoona:

  • A fee of $5 per vehicle is charged at parks with beaches.
  • A $5 boat launching fee is charged at parks with boat ramps.
  • A Corps of Engineers Annual Day-Use Pass may be purchased for $40.  The pass is honored at Corps of Engineers day-use areas and boat ramps
