Upper Stamp Creek Day Use Park is located on the northern section of Lake Allatoona. This boat launch is one of 16 day use parks on the lake operated and maintained by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
According to the USACE at Lake Allatoona:
Anglers from throughout the Southeast flock to Allatoona Lake to enjoy world-class fishing. Stripers and hybrids can be caught year-round on both live bait and artificial lures.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources annually restocks the lake through their fish stocking program. Along with native fish found in the lake, this provides a wide variety of fish species for anglers including bass (largemouth, hybrid, stripped, spotted, and white), crappie, bream (bluegill, redbreast and red-ear sunfish), gar and catfish.
