Gun Safety Seminar in Marietta — New Location
Unprecedented numbers of Georgians have exercised their Constitutional rights and bought handguns and rifles in the past 30 days.
According to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NCIC), the FBI ran 2.8 million background checks for gun purchases nationwide in December 2012 – a new record. They performed 2 million checks in November.
The December statistic represents a 49% increase over December 2011, when 1.9 million checks broke the record existing at that time.
Georgia reportedly has one of America’s strictest application processes to purchase a handgun or to carry a concealed weapon. The GBI and FBI run criminal history checks, along with a background check for psychiatric disqualifications.
Like it or not … buy a gun or not … there are lots of guns owned by people who don’t have a clue how to load, unload, clean or fire deadly weapons. That’s not a pretty picture.
If you or someone you know is new to firearms, please urge them to learn and practice gun safety. This seminar would be a great introduction.
