This summer wasn’t the best in terms of weather, but there’s still time to enjoy US Army Corps of Engineers day-use parks and camping around Lake Allatoona.

A few parks will close after Labor Day — Monday, September 2nd — and others will close later this year.

We expect the lake to be quite busy over Labor Day, so please be careful.

You probably know that skiing under the lake’s bridges is prohibited, but it’s also true that tubing is also prohibited.  Although bridges are No Wake zones and all vessels should be moving at idling speeds, it’s still easy to get ropes tangled near other boats while you’re pulling tubes and floats.  Please be cautious and follow the laws — they’re meant to protect you and your family.
