Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival at Cauble Park on May 9th & 10th 2014

It’s hard to improve on any old weekend at Cauble Park in Acworth.

Except when the world’s best BBQ is served at the 5th annual Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival, presented by Superior Plumbing on Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th!

Our friends at the North Cobb Rotary Club, City of Acworth and the Georgia Barbecue Association gather the best around for fun and glory.

All financial proceeds will be distributed among several local charities.  That means, probably, that whatever you eat for charity has no calories!!  (Some restrictions apply.)

Eat BBQ and make a difference in your community — not your waistline — at Smoke on the Lake BBQ Festival.  (Results may vary.)

On Friday night, gates will open at 6:00 p.m. with a special competition called “Lord of the Wings.”  Each team will prepare their own special flavor of chicken wings and you get to be the judge!  Stick around for a concert under the stars at 8 PM with a dandy local band: The Mustangs.

Not good enough for you?  You’ll love the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. made possible through the partnership between ABA, Rotary and the City!

Starting at 10 AM on Saturday, teams from all over the Southeast will compete in professional and amateur divisions to see who will take home the title for 2014.  There will be another people’s choice competition where — for a small fee — you get to be the judge by tasting your way through some of the best BBQ in the Southeast!

Please Note:  Parking will not be available at the park so please park downtown and use the provided shuttles.

Don’t forget!  When you eat BBQ for charity you can’t gain weight!  (Maybe.)
