2008 Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup

The 23rd Annual Great Lake Allatoona Cleanup will take place on September 13, 2008.
The cleanup was started in 1986 and was the first of its kind in Georgia. Last year it drew over 3800 volunteers who picked up over 33 tons of trash.
You can help by volunteering as an individual or contacting the GLAC Coordinator, Renee Maynard at (678) 538-7711 or Ron Papaleoni at (678) 801-4011.

GLAC Picnic at Riverside Day Use Area

The Cleanup will end with a picnic at the Riverside Day Use Area from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Volunteers can make their way over after cleaning their area. There will be entertainment, giveaways, and prizes will be awarded for the strangest trash items collected. Don’t forget to bring folding chairs or a blanket to sit on.
