The second public hearing open house to discuss the Georgia DOT”s proposed project for Glade Road is scheduled for Tuesday,  April 14, from 4 until 7 p.m.  The meeting will be held at North Metro Technical College, Building 400.

Residents interested in learning more about the proposed project are encouraged to attend and express their viewpoints and concerns.

The proposed plans involve:  1)  widening Glade Road from Homestead Road to Ryan Road (3.9 miles)  2)  improving the road to meet a 35-mile-per-hour speed limit design requirement  3)  upgrading Glade Road intersections and connecting side streets  4)  replacing the existing bridge over Clark Creek

The primary purpose of the proposed project is to correct existing safety and sight distance deficiencies along Glade Road to meet state standards and to increase the sufficiency rating of the existing Clark Creek bridge to accommodate the 100-year flood level of Allatoona Lake.
