Lake Allatoona Fishing Report (12-22-11)

This Lake Allatoona Fishing Guides Report is bought to you by Robert Eidson of First Bite Guide Service (770-827-6282).

Line-sides are “Good.”  I have been on the water almost every day this week and the fishing has been great.  It was so good at times that I almost forgot it was winter and not spring.  The numbers and quality of fish my clients caught this week were definitely spring-like.

The seagulls are here and are really giving away the location of the feeding fish.  The fish are on the move between Bartow Carver and the S-Turns.  They’re returning to the river and creek channels when they’re not on top.

Live bait is working when the fish are down.  They can be caught on down-lines 15-30 feet deep.  But the best bites are coming on the umbrella rigs fished 60-150 feet behind the boat at speeds of 2.4 – 3.1 miles an hour.

Give me a call at 770-827-6282 and let’s take the kids fishing (and Mama too).
