Gifts that Support Wildlife in Georgia

I once spent two hours in a field where a sign said I could see abundant wildlife, but all I saw were deer, a couple of bears and a bunch of ivory-billed woodpeckers.

Not what I expected, but I support all kinds of wildlife.  You can too!

This holiday season, Georgia DNR’s Wildlife Resources Division is offering gifts for hunters, anglers and other wildlife enthusiasts, while benefiting the wildlife and wild places they enjoy.

Gifts that Support Wildlife in Georgia

Lifetime Licenses

  • With a lifetime license, the Georgia resident hunter or angler on your gift list will not need to pay for another state hunting or fishing license, ever!  From hunting trophy whitetails to casting for lunker largemouths, their cherished recreation in Georgia is covered.  You’ll find applications and details here.

Annual GORPs

  • A Georgia Outdoor Recreational Pass, or GORP, is required for non-hunting or non-fishing recreation such as birding, horseback riding and hiking at 32 sites managed by the Wildlife Resources Division.  One of the best bargains for outdoors lovers is an annual GORP, only $19 for people ages 16-64.  Purchase online, by phone (800-366-2661) or from a license retail agent.

A lifetime license or an annual GORP not only provides access to the great outdoors, proceeds support Georgia wildlife and state-managed lands!
