Heritage Day 2014: 150 Years of Camp Lawton will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 beginning at 9 AM at Magnolia Springs State Park, Millen, GA.

Camp Lawton, 150 years ago, was one of the largest prison camps in the nation, built to relieve overcrowding at Andersonville.  During the Heritage Day event you can see a replica of the Confederate submarine, H.L. Hunley.

Tours of the living history encampment will be available.  You may witness live cannon fire and browse the new Camp Lawton Museum.

Georgia Southern will host an archaeology presentation while vendors and other presenters join in the festivities in the picnic area.

There is a $5 parking fee.
