Carole Moore, Grants Coordinator, and Helen Talley-McRae, Public Information Coordinator of the HPC met on September 11 with Gardens Executive Director Doug Davis and Jo-Evelyn Morris of the Smith-Gilbert Foundation to confirm the grant award. Preserve America intern Charlie Miller also attended the meeting. The funds will be used for the development of a website for the Gardens.

In addition to Kennesaw, Preserve America grants were awarded to eight other cities in Georgia including Savannah, Augusta, Roswell, and Alpharetta. The funds are earmarked for community landmark preservation efforts.
