Program Palooza & Citywide Picnic is Saturday, August 22 from 11 to 2 p.m.



Mark your calendar to be at the Ben Robertson Community Center on Saturday, August 22 from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m. as it plays host to the City of Kennesaw’s 5th annual PROGRAM PALOOZA & CITYWIDE PICNIC. This fun, FREE, ’60s themed, family-friendly event is designed to showcase the quality and diversity of programs offered by the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department.

Program Palooza & Citywide PicnicVisitors will have an opportunity to meet instructors representing art, dance, fitness, gymnastics, sports and special interest programs, take part in interactive demonstrations, and receive valuable information on fall programs.

At 12:00 p.m. the Georgia Blues Brothers tribute act, along with their 1974 Dodge Monaco Bluesmobile, will take center stage outside the community center and recreate the sound and antics of Jake and Elwood. The performance is FREE.

Additional music entertainment, prizes and giveaways will be provided by The Fish Fun Crew from 104.7 FM., as well as streetmosphere shenanigans from an Austin Powers celebrity look-a-like and groovy go-go girl greeters.

Kids are invited to climb up a FREE rockwall, and bounce on giant inflatables provided by BounceU. FREE chair massages will be provided courtesy of Discover Chiropractic & Rehabilitation.

The City of Kennesaw will also serve FREE hot dogs and refreshments (while supplies last).

Program registration will be ongoing during the event, and visitors will be eligible to receive a 10% discount off any class, camp or workshop offered by the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department.
