Daylight Saving Time Returns on March 10, 2019
Daylight Saving Time returns to strike us all on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 2 AM.
A famous person has been quoted as saying “Success has many fathers. Failure is an orphan.” Daylight Saving Time is an orphan.
No doubt you will agree that it’s the most stupid idea since the invention of tassel loafers and tofu. Yet, we submit and lose an hour of sleep when we Spring Ahead and turn clocks forward an hour in the middle of the night.
Could anyone have considered changing clocks at, say, 4 PM on Friday afternoon? Nope. That wouldn’t devastate putting kids to bed an hour early (later?) and making them arise an hour earlier — in the spring.
So many unreliable people are an hour late every day of their lives, it might be a good idea not to tell them about changing their clocks by an hour. They might actually show up on time!
Most of us will Submit to The Man and pretend the day is longer because we changed our clocks — except those on car dashboards which are doomed to be incorrect until we go through the whole mess again later this year when Daylight Saving Time returns again.
